Voice Alarm for the Voice Alert Occupancy Monitoring Alarm System
The Voice Alarm for the Voice Alert Occupancy Monitoring Alarm System is designed as a spare or replacement voice alarm to ensure you can continue to assist a person who requires help when leaving a chair. When used alongside a pager and sensor, it alerts you when somebody wanders, while also emitting a pre-recorded message to reassure the individual that assistance is on the way.

Which Products Are Compatible with the Voice Alarm?
The voice alarm requires a sensor to detect when a person has moved and a pager to send an alert to you when this occurs. The following products are compatible:

Who Can Use the Voice Alert?
When used alongside the pager and sensor, the voice alert is ideal for many care situations, both at home and in professional care. Examples of situations include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Helping someone who is unsteady on their feet
- Monitoring someone prone to wandering
- Assisting someone who may require assistance when they get up to go to the toilet
- Monitoring a person who could be a danger to themselves or others if they get out of their chair
- Making sure that if someone has returned to their chair safely after a toilet break or short walk
How Does the Alarm Mat System Work?
The sensor (sold separately) is connected to the transmitter, which doubles as the voice alarm. When the sensor mat or PIR system detects that the user has left the chair, bed, or room, an alert is transmitted to the pager (also sold separately) so that you can assist if necessary. A voice alert can also be emitted at the point of transition; see below for more information.
How Does the Voice Alert Work?
With the voice alarm, you can record a voice message, and whenever the patient tries to leave their area it will play the message. This helps to reassure them that help is on the way soon, and can also serve as a reminder for them to take their walking aid or emergency call pendant with them.
Delay Feature for Bathroom Visits
The voice alert transmitter features a delay function that can be programmed to send an alert if the chair has been unoccupied for up to 15 minutes. This is great if an individual in your care can go to the bathroom on their own but should not be wandering for too long on their own.
