Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor The Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor has a 200mm restrictor cable that stops your window from opening wider than 100mm. Ideal for parents looking to reduce their family's risk of falls or accidents around windows, the restrictor allows you to open your window for ventilation, but not wide enough for a person to fit through.
Please note that this product requires some physical dexterity to disengage as it is designed to prevent unintentional use.
What's Included? 1 x Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor 4 x Hardened security clutch screws Who Can Benefit from the Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor? Anyone can benefit from installing the Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor in their home. A significant portion of accidental deaths are caused by falls and, by limiting how wide your window can open, you can reduce your family's risk of such accidents.
Jackloc restrictors are also suitable for use in public buildings and health and social care settings. At the same time, the restrictor can help prevent burglaries as an intruder would need bolt cutters to break the 3mm thick reinforced cable before they could fully open your window.
Will the Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor Fit My Window? The Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor is designed to fit any type of window and material, including frames made of wood, uPVC, aluminium, steel or composite. The versatility of the design means you don't have to shop around to find different window restrictors for all of the windows in your home.
Fitting Instructions for the Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor To install your Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor, place it in the desired position against your window and window frame. How Much Weight Can This Window Restrictor Hold? According to the British Standard, window restrictors should have a holding force of 500 newtons, the equivalent weight being 8 stone. Jackloc cable restrictors can hold over four times this amount on frames made of steel, aluminium or timber, so you can be confident that the restrictor will not break even if someone accidentally leans against the window.
Do I Have to Use the Screws Provided? The Jackloc Pro-Twist Window Restrictor comes with four hardened steel security clutch screws for maximum strength hold. However, these cannot be removed once they are drilled in unless a tungsten carbide drill is used.
If you'd like to remove the restrictor at a later date, we would recommend using your own screws instead. Please ensure they correctly fit the restrictor and are suitable for your window.
Where are the Window Restrictors Made? All of Jackloc's window restrictors are engineered, manufactured and tested in the UK. Each one undergoes a strict quality assurance regime to meet the official guidelines of the ISO 9001 quality management system to ensure the highest level of quality and safety.
Available Colours The Pro-Twist window restrictor can be purchased in four different colours: standard white, black, brown or dark grey. You can select your preference using the drop down box at the top of the page.
