| Finding the Right Care Call Signwave Call Button Kit for You28 January 2016 | John Ensuring that those under your care can get the help they need is incredibly important – the Care Call button sensors are great products to centre your Care Call Signwave Kits around. If you’re unsure that a call button is suitable for your needs, you can go back to our guide to find the right Signwave alarm kit for you, or you can return to the start and check out our guide on which Care Call receiver is right for you. Step Three: Choosing Additional SensorsNow that you know you want to base your Care Call Signwave Kit around a call button, it’s time to choose which additional sensors you want to use. If you’re just after a kit with a Signwave and a call button, these are the kits to choose from: The Care Call Key Fob Transmitter can easily be worn around the user’s neck (with an easy-break cord to reduce the risk of strangulation) and when the button on the front is pressed the Signwave is alerted so you can quickly come to their aid. The Care Call Big Button does the same thing as the key fob, but is a fixed position button rather than a portable one. It features an incredibly easy-to-press button which is ideal for users with limited dexterity. Magnetic Door MonitorThe Care Call Signwave Key Fob Transmitter Kit is also available with a Magnetic Door Monitor:
The Care Call Magnetic Door Monitor affixes to a door or window frame and will notify the Signwave if the door or window is opened. This enables you prevent wandering by knowing when someone has left their room so you can quickly go and help them. This is also great for ensuring that those under your care don’t get into areas they shouldn’t, such as certain rooms and cupboards. Under Carpet Pressure PadIf you still want to detect movement, but in a different way, the Care Call Signwave Key Fob Transmitter Kit is also available with an Under Carpet Pressure Pad:
The Care Call Under Carpet Pressure Pad detects when someone steps on it and alerts the Signwave. This is great for use as a bed leaving alarm – simply place the pad underneath a mat next to someone’s bed and you can be alerted when they leave – ideal for helping to prevent bed falls and enabling you that someone needs help. Smoke and Carbon Monoxide DetectionAlternatively, the Care Call Signwave Key Fob Transmitter kit is also available with a Smoke Alarm and Carbon Monoxide Alarm:
The Care Call Smoke Alarm detects smoke and alerts your Signwave so you can best act for the safety of those under your care. The two types of smoke alarm – Ionisation and Optical – feature different levels of sensitivity (the Ionisation alarm is more sensitive) and are ideal for different areas of the home. The Care Call Carbon Monoxide Alarm detects the levels of carbon monoxide (CO) in the air and alerts the Signwave if the concentrations are too high. Because CO is a colourless, odourless gas you can’t know it’s there without an alarm, so it’s vital that you know your home is free of the poisonous gas. |
